CUSTOM WEDDING CEREMONIES IN RALEIGH, DURHAM, CHAPEL HILL, AND CARY
From the first conversation to the moment you walk back down the aisle, every word of your ceremony is written around who you are as a couple.
A full wedding ceremony has a lot of moving parts. There is the processional, the welcome, readings or rituals, the vows, ring exchange, pronouncement, the kiss, and the recessional. On top of that, you might want a unity ceremony, a moment to recognize family members who are not there, a reading from a friend, or something cultural or religious that is important to one or both of you.
I handle all of it. I work with your planner and venue coordinator on timing so the ceremony fits into the flow of the day. I run the rehearsal with your bridal party so everyone knows where to stand, when to walk, and what to do with their hands. On the day itself, I am the one keeping the pace steady, reading the energy of the room, and making sure the two of you can stay present instead of running through a checklist in your head.
If you have a large guest count, I know how to hold a room. If your families have strong opinions about what should be included, I know how to navigate that. And if something unexpected happens (it almost always does), I know how to keep things moving without anyone noticing. Learn more about my approach →
We start with a conversation about your day. I want to understand the feel you're going for, who's in the bridal party, the role family plays, whether you want religious, secular, or a mix, and any traditions that matter to you. Not sure yet? That's completely fine. Most couples aren't, and that's part of what I help with.
I take everything from our conversation and write a full ceremony. You get it a few weeks before the wedding. Read it together, mark up whatever you want changed, and send it back. We revise until you are both happy with every word.
I run the rehearsal with your full bridal party. I walk everyone through the processional order, where to stand, when to move, and how the ceremony will flow. This is also when we work out any timing details with your planner, DJ, or photographer.
On the day, I arrive early and coordinate with your vendors on ceremony timing. You do not need to think about logistics. When the ceremony begins, I manage the pacing, the energy, and the transitions so everything flows and you can focus on each other.
"Everyone thought we KNEW Bonnie, like for some period of time. She never came across as a generic officiant. She cared about getting to know us. She wanted to know our story. We knew within 5 minutes of the call, Bonnie was the woman for the job."
Ceremonies start at $450. Pricing varies based on ceremony type, location, and any extras. Reach out and I will give you a clear quote with everything spelled out.

Yes. I walk your bridal party through the full ceremony flow so everyone knows where to stand, when to walk, and what to expect. This is included in every wedding ceremony package.
Absolutely. Some couples want to write their own, some want me to handle all of it, and some want a mix. I will guide you so you can say what you are feeling in a way that sounds like you, without the pressure of staring at a blank page alone.
