DOWNTOWN VENUES TO COUNTRYSIDE ESTATES
From historic downtown venues to the estates and gardens just outside the city, I officiate weddings across Raleigh and write every ceremony around the couple standing in front of me.
Raleigh has a wedding scene that covers a lot of ground. A rooftop ceremony downtown with the skyline behind you feels completely different from an outdoor ceremony at a countryside estate 20 minutes away, and both of those feel different from an intimate gathering at a restaurant or art gallery in the warehouse district. That range is one of the things I love about officiating here.
Based in Raleigh and available throughout the Triangle. including Durham, Chapel Hill, and Cary. Whether your wedding is at a venue you have dreamed about for years or a place you just found last month, I will write a ceremony that fits the space, the moment, and the two of you.
Every ceremony I write starts with a real conversation about your story, your relationship, and how you want the day to feel. I take what you share with me and turn it into something your guests will talk about long after the last dance. More about how I work →
Raleigh is home to some of the most distinctive wedding venues in North Carolina. Here are a few of the spaces where couples tie the knot in and around the city.
A historic estate on South Wilmington Street with wrap-around porches and old oak trees. Indoor and outdoor ceremony options, and the kind of architecture that photographs beautifully from every angle.
A converted warehouse space downtown with exposed brick, tall ceilings, and warm lighting. It has an industrial elegance that works for everything from black-tie receptions to relaxed celebrations.
Sitting right next to City Market, this venue has a classic Raleigh feel with arched windows and an open layout. A popular choice for couples who want to be in the heart of downtown without feeling boxed in.
A restored chapel with stained glass windows and original woodwork. It is one of the most stunning ceremony spaces in Raleigh, and the acoustics make every word carry.
Ceremonies here happen in the outdoor park among large-scale sculptures, or inside the museum galleries. It is one of those venues where the setting does half the work for you.
Just outside the city, surrounded by trees and gardens. The outdoor pavilion has a natural canopy that makes late afternoon ceremonies feel like something out of a movie.
Raleigh weddings have their own character. The city is growing fast, but it still has a warmth to it that bigger cities lose. Couples here tend to care about the personal details, the readings that mean something, the family traditions that get woven in, the ceremony that actually reflects the two people standing up there.
There is also a practical side. Raleigh venues range from affordable to high-end, and the city is easy for out-of-town guests to get to, with RDU right down the road and hotels in every price range. Peak season runs April through October, but fall weddings in Raleigh are something special. The light is warm, the temperatures drop into the comfortable range, and outdoor ceremonies feel effortless.
I have officiated in almost every kind of setting this city offers. If you are still choosing a venue, I am happy to share what I know about how different spaces work for ceremonies.
"From our first phone call through to our special day, Bonnie was truly amazing. I cannot believe how well she captured our story. Bonnie is a true professional, although I felt I had a friend with me. If you are in NC, snap her up fast!"

All the time. I have officiated at gardens, estates, parks, rooftops, and backyards across the city. I always have a plan for weather, and some of the best ceremonies I have done happened when the plan changed at the last minute.
I travel to venues throughout Raleigh and the surrounding area. Whether your ceremony is downtown, in North Raleigh, near Falls Lake, or out toward the countryside, travel within the Triangle is included.
Yes. If you are doing a courthouse ceremony or a simple signing, I can be there to make it feel personal and intentional, even if it is just the two of you.
All four cities are within about 30 minutes of each other, and travel anywhere in the Triangle is included. I also officiate destination ceremonies at the Outer Banks, in the mountains near Asheville, and for out-of-state couples traveling to North Carolina. Wherever your day takes you, I will be there.
